Story of a professional

I met her at India Gate, Delhi. It was my first trip to Delhi: no family, no friends, no acquaintance - solo trip. I was a bit nervous and a bit excited. Many people were coming to visit the historical India Gate. For me, it was one of the travelling place of Delhi, nothing else, may be because I am not that much fond of History. I was more excited to know about the people out there. I was searching for a person to have a conversation. At that very moment, I saw her. She was waiting for a customer for a long time. I asked her what she is doing and she replied that "में एक डिज़ाइनर हु बेटा" and I was astonished. Then I came to know that, she puts letters in thread and thus makes wristbands for people with their names and thus she earn livelihood for herself and her family. Her passion for her work was glittering in her eyes. It was just a way of earning one's bread, many of us will not consider it as something special or something noble. I have seen many professionals in my life but that zeal, that respect for one's own work, was something I was seeing for the first time. I couldn't stop myself respecting her and a room is booked for her in my heart for lifetime. She taught me the other language of professionalism. Today I was wandering down the memory lane and suddenly came across this picture and feels like sharing this picture and sharing my experience with her.
