Most inspiring movie characters for me are Nikumbh Sir from the movie Taare Zameen Par and Geet from the movie Jab We Met. I just loved the way these two characters are potrayed in the films. One is passionate about his professional life and the other one is the most charming person in her personal sphere.
Nikumbh Sir is the art teacher in the school where studies are given more importance than creativity. In the era of digitalization children are falling under the trap of the rat race. Students are not chosing their paths but they are forced by the system and their parents to live life in their terms. Nikumbh Sir is that "हवा का झोंका" who is the perfect example of a change maker. He is full with energy, strength and passion. He has the gut to challenge the thought process of the mainstream society. He showed us the importance of thinking out of the box and creating new beliefs. He came in the school just for 3 months and within this short period he impacted Ishaan's life greatly. Ishaan is one of his students suffering from dyslexicia. Ishaan was not good in academics but his artistic expression was appreciated by everyone. He was misunderstood by everybody around him except Nikumbh Sir, who tried to understand his actual problem. Nikumbh Sir worked with specially abled children in his previous job and from that experience he helped Ishaan the best way possible. He visited Ishaan's home & interacted with his parents,stood strong to be with him and helped him to improve his condition. It is the most inspiring character for those who are working to help others in helping themselves. He is the greatest example one can follow and like others I wish to be as passionate about my work as Nikumbh Sir.
My second inspiration is Geet - a confident and carefree girl from Bhatinda, Punjab. She is the soul of the movie Jab We Met. She shows us how to love ourselves. In today's world we are burdened with mannerism and pleasing people, we are gradually forgetting our real selves. She is the lovely girl who speaks from her heart and is not at all bothered about her image. Her words and actions are reflections of her genuineness and authenticity. Yes, she is also a human being and she also face failures and difficulties in her life, but she has the power within herself to overcome it and start a fresh. Best dialogue of her is "मैं अपनी favourite हुँ" . She is not a self engrossed person, she cares lot about her surrounding people. She helped Aditya, a heartbroken businessman to gain his interest towards his life and his work even without knowing him properly. Later he did excellent performance in his work by astonishing his near ones. Geet is the greatest example of a happy go lucky person. She accepted herself so well and the words of people with judgmental mentality does not bother her at all. She creates her own path and inspire others to live their life happily and peacefully. I wish to be as carefree & happy as her.
