Unsung saga of good parenting

Ritu, a bubbly girl of 25 years. She is pursuing  her research from a prestigious university of India. Her parents feels proud of her.  Today's story is not about her but about her parents.
The story could be different if she was not lucky enough to have parents like Puja and Manav. After few months of her birth, it was found that she had problem in her eyes. She is from a remote village of West Bengal, her parents never treat her as if she is born with some problem, instead they treat them as God's gift. Her parents tried their best to make her life easy and comfortable. They always treat her like a precious gift. She had her first eye operation from Shankar Netralaya when she was 6 months old. Her parents only wish was to raise her healthy and let her live. They never criticize her for anything, rather appreciated for every small achievement she made in her life. Her parents excel gradually in parenting. They scold her, if she did something wrong but never made her feel embarrassed. They never let the cruelty of gender discrimination touch her.
Puja and Manav are not the richest person in terms of wealth, neither they are the most educated or most beautiful person in this world, but they know how to raise a kid and stand as an epitome in parenthood. They never made Ritu realize that they are sacrificing many things in their life just to fulfill her wishes.
Ritu was raise as a princess in her own home, her smallest needs were taken care of by her parents. She felt loved and cared every moment. She never knew the feeling of shame or guilt as her parents never allowed her to feel so, which help her being herself all the time. She studied subject as per her wish, she learned music and performed excellent. The more she excel in her study or in her music the more she was appreciated by her parents.
Her parents shown immense patience in raising her, they listen and tried to understand her verbal and nonverbal words, shown deep empathy towards herself and above all let her enjoy her life by not making her feel like a burden in them but a lovely child.
She also gave her best in her study and tried hard to achieve success. She was awarded with different scholarships for doing good in her curriculum. Even she received gold medal in her masters study. Her family and friends were proud of her when she received prestigious gold medal from a reputed university. Her parents are proud and happy with her as she is the gold medal they created with everything they had. Salute to this parents and their unsung saga.
