Thankful

It was just another ordinary day.
A laptop before me,
a to-do list on one side,
a cup of coffee on the other.

My mind was busy chasing the next milestone, the next task,
the next version of myself.

Then my eyes paused
on the little money plant resting quietly on my desk.
And suddenly,
everything felt different.
How often we forget
that we are already living
the dreams we once whispered to ourselves.

Yes, there are still miles to go,
mountains to climb,
and skies yet to touch.
My mind calls it "not enough."
But my heart knows better.
It whispers,
"You are exactly where you need to be."

After seasons of darkness,
I have learned to recognize the sunlight—
not because life became perfect,
but because hope quietly returned.
Perhaps that's what life really is.
Not the destination.
Not perfection.
Just the quiet courage
to keep showing up,
to keep believing,
to keep blooming—
one day at a time,
while remembering
to count the blessings
that have been walking beside us all along.
